Following running workshops, mentoring and research looking at the recipes for writing poetry. I decided to put the knowledge gained into a book that looked at the basics of writing poetry including some modern contemporary poets to read and think about. The use of sound and silence in poetry fascinates me and I tried to utilise that within elements of the book. As a poet I am striving to make my words sing.
