Teaching and Mentoring
Walking Beside the Writer You’re Becoming
Every writer carries a private constellation of memories, questions, and half‑formed stories. My work as a mentor is to help you listen to those quiet signals — the ones that tug at your sleeve, the ones you almost ignore, the ones that might be leading you somewhere unexpected. I meet you where you are, in the middle of your creative weather.Together, we explore what your writing is trying to say.
What We Can Explore Together
My mentoring is fluid and responsive. It shifts depending on what you need, what you’re wrestling with, and what your writing is whispering. You might come to me for:-
-Poetry — finding the emotional pulse, the music, the clarity
– Flash fiction — distilling a moment into something sharp and luminous
– Creative confidence — starting or returning to writing after silence or doubt
– Craft guidance — structure, voice, imagery, rhythm, world‑building
This isn’t a formula. It’s a conversation.
How I Work
I work gently, intuitively, and with curiosity. Sometimes we begin with a single poem or paragraph. My approach includes:- written feedback that looks for possibility, not fault – conversations that help you hear your own voice more clearly – exploratory prompts when you feel stuck – guidance on shaping a project or collection – space to think, imagine, and experiment I’m not here to “fix” your writing. I’m here to help you discover what it wants to become.
I also run classes on WhatsApp and Messenger on Craft Areas in poetry from the initial foray into poetic devices and theory to a more advanced dive into the Art of Poetry.
Who This Is For
For writers who feel something stirring. For those returning to the page after years away. For those who sense a story or poem forming but can’t yet see its shape. For poets who want to deepen their craft. For anyone who wants a companion on the creative path — not a judge. If you’re curious, you’re ready.
