Growing a relationship

Drawn, infuriated, bliss, bored,inspired,
You invoke so many emotions in me
Are we partners for the lives we desired
To become soul mates true, do we have the fee
The ability to trust, allow growth, not impose rules
Work on ourselves, as the way to live together better
Or has one of us more right to choose
Which life path shall we walk, together
Or will they divide, become bored, resentful, cruel
Time will tell, and will be the result of our choices
Working to become better partners, adds accrual
Singing affirmation, humour, communication, love in loudest voices

Limmericks

Trying something new find these quite hard, need to get the rhyming rhythms right

There was a lady from Norfolk
Who at full moon did a forfeit
She changed into a hamster
She had meant to be a gangster
And now she runs circles in a faucet

A nice lady tried playing wordfeud
When her partner got decidedly rude
He flashed his cock
She fell out the dock
And cried..how can you be so crude

There was a wannabe author
Whose grammar was something of a horror
She peddled her words
Became a hamster ate verbs
And threw poems out just to torture

Our uniqueness

What is it, about our uniqueness,
Should it exist?
Is it seen as a weakness,
To be burnt away, like mist,

Our spark and our idiosyncrasies,
Does society, want us to conform,
Join the herd, act in ways that please,
Step in line, stay within the norm,

What is it about, your uniqueness,
That I celebrate and applaud,
Your honesty, drive and genius,
Your flaws I also laud,

What is it, about my uniqueness,
That I cherish and nurture,
The me that exists, that’s not seamless,
My drive for happiness, still a searcher,

Our spark and idiosyncrasies,
Should be cherished,
They are the oil and the antifreeze,
That fuel creativity, not see it perished.

Jigsaw of life

I cherish those pieces of you I shared,
It had to be enough, the times we cared,
Propping me up in times of woe,
Helping to fight the common foe,
My knight in shining armour,
I think maybe not,  knight in ardour,
That’s a possible plot,
We never had a future just a here, to adopt,
A mutual need,  so no angst or hook,
Sharing our time, like pages in a book,
Learning to grow and fulfill myself,
Came directly from  scraps, found on our shelf,
The jigsaw of life more complex than some,
Fitting together, our demons overcome,
Once more the jigsaw of life is tipped from the box,
Lots of the middle retained its locks,
Fitting the stray pieces together again,
With new insights a clearer refrain,
I cherish those pieces of you I shared,
Learning and growing my jigsaw is prepared
