Proverb’s and sayings.

The grass is always greener on the other side

Does that mean we should run there, or take time to decide

Curiosity killed the cat

Should we make note of that

A rolling stone doesn’t gather moss

Is that about living life, not giving a toss

All that glitters is not gold

Dreams are good but check the road

Don’t throw out the baby with the bath water

Hold onto the good, reflect, reorder

Every cloud has a silver lining

If only we could see past hurt and anger, learn, stop pining

Life is not about making others happy

It’s about sharing your happiness with others

Proverbs and sayings litter our speech

Are there truths there within our reach?

A new set of values???

What did I want from this life?

Did I understand as I stumbled through?

Planning. No more like serendipity

With no direction what have I missed?

With reaction rather than considered action

What crass decisions have I made?

How have those decisions  rolled out across the the cosmos?

How have those ripples impacted on others?

Who have I hurt without thought?

With a philosophy of caring for others

Have I actually been guilty of being egotistical and uncaring?

What do I want from this life?

Maybe a new set of values

Where do you go to?

Where do you go to , when you are lonely in the night

When you are all  alone, do you try to feel the light

Or are you overcome by the blackness

of a totally moonless night

Do you dive into day dreams of what might have been

Or reshape the future to give it a new sheen

Are you paralysed  by nightmares  overcome with fright

Do you picture your lovers arms, their aura burning bright

Or reorder your future, to get rid of things too trite

When you are feeling lonely,

do you try to feel the light
Whatever your drivers when you are lonely in the night

Banish the darkness, try for things of pure delight

Count all those who love you and add up all those who might.

Text Snippets from Word Crozzle 3. Philosophy?

Ben : I found this quote am not sure where it came from but thought it might appeal.
We cling  on to music, to poems, to quotes, to writing, to art because we desperately do not want to be alone. We know we are not going crazy and someone else out there knows exactly how you’re feeling. We want someone to explain the things we can’t .

Eve : Ummmm not sure about that. I need to think about it!
Ben : Knew it would make it scratch your head  Lol ..
Eve : My first reaction is I don’t agree…but need to mull it over.  I have no problem with the second half.  It’s the first sentence that I am unsure about. Will think about it…
Ben: It sort of resonated with me. We  both love our art and music.
Eve : I think we are pulled to all those things because they enlighten us, fill our hearts with gladness….not sure if its to do with loneliness, ..ummmm
Ben: Didn’t say we are lonely . Said we don’t want to be alone.
Eve: Morning….yes I understand it said we dont want to be alone…. maybe those things do fill a void but to me it’s more complex than that. Maybe it is about the search for answers, I still feel the pull of self fulfillment in the mix. What do you think??
