Idle Dreams

My idle dreams can help me merge my various forms

and recreate visions of the future,

or just allow me a space to be the me I would like to be,

The child , the femme fatal, the carer, the cook, all part of me,

My fantasies can take me away from the angst of a dreadful day,

Or maybe I can just escape in a little space in time

merge all my selves, have time sublime,

Act a scene with Cary Grant, private jet to the South of France,

Find treasure in a search, ride my magic carpet, dance and prance

Who knows what my idle dreams will be

Daydreaming happy dreams can’t you see?

Escape from reality

Daydreams, night schemes,

Escape from reality, a little ego and vanity,

Imagining a life together,

always smiling whatever the weather,

Rosey glow , when really I know,

Pipe dreams

crazy schemes,

Charisma abounds

excitement confounds,

Reality check

from a distance, you are perfect,

Reading between the lines

 you commit a few crimes,

Happily ever after,

couldn’t be dafter,

You pride yourself in telling the truth

but lie by ommission, I have seen the proof,

You have so much charisma

your chat lovingly familiar,

One of many friends you hold

will time coalesce, when feelings go cold,

Day dreams, happiness schemes

Escape from reality, a little ego and vanity,

Hold in perspective, no sadness retrospective,

The heart is drawn

but the head inform

Pipe dreams, crazy schemes

Grounded in reality, fantasy and vanity.

Fantasy

Sharing  our intimate fantasies

We need trust,to stop tragedies

 Unlocking our ideas exciting immense

Exploring wildness  feelings intense

So many situations we could try out

Sharing ideas, time and about

Making the pictures held in our heads

Come alive and become real instead

Partners in pleasure trying our dreams

Rising so high within the jet stream

Ideas so sensual,so carefree, so freeing

Maintaining excitement and a relationship  intriguing

The key of the gods

Far back in time, a kingdom flourished,

Its ruler fair and benign, he sat upon

a gilded throne, his acumen divine,

Until the day he sent his knights, on an

inadvertent crime, where they stole the key

to the vault of the Gods, on a raid for  special wine.
Far back in time, a kingdom flourished,

Its ruler fair and benign, he sat upon

a gilded throne, his acumen divine,

Until the time of the wrath of the gods,

when chaos ruled  all time, the key to the vault

went missing, a regular paradigm.
Far back in time, a kingdom flourished,

Its ruler fair and benign, he sat upon

a gilded throne, his acumen divine,

He sent his subjects searching in deserts,

Far and wide, the key is buried in the dirt,

The king  is  totally frantic he even built a shrine.
Far back in time, a kingdom flourished,

Its ruler fair and benign, he sat upon

a gilded throne, his acumen divine,

Until the day of the catastrophic event,

That wiped his kingdom out, and spread destruction

From the Gods, the volcano was a sign.
Far back in time, a kingdom flourished,

Its ruler fair and benign, he sat upon

a gilded throne, his acumen divine,

Now archeologists explore the land,

Thy search for treasure all,  one digs in the dirt

and brings out a key,  hear the king repine.

Buried Fantasies

Sharing buried fantasies

We eagerly find

Trialling our ecstasy

Freeing our minds

 Sharing passion true

Colours our lives

 Expanding our view

 Excitement thrives

Whatever we can imagine

Will become our feast

Adding allure and attraction

To that ravening beast.

Diverting my love

I got carried away by our interaction,

Thought it was a source of mutual attraction,

I got carried away by your seeming caring,

Those whispered words and the texts endearing,

I imagined ,we shared something special at times,

I am sure we did, fleetingly, or maybe I am blind,

I knew you had  others,

Then there were your brothers,

Our time together, seemed  intense,

In this universe, it felt immense,

I realised, I had been carried away,

The day you forgot my words, of yesterday,

As one of the crowd, I am just a fleeting fling,

It won’t be me, when cupid, releases the arrow from the sling,

It pains me to release these silken chords,

But our relationship, will never win any awards,

I got carried away and am getting hurt,

I am setting us free, my love to divert.

Flash fiction. Transformation

It is time. Time for my next transformation. I am prepared, well as much as I can be. I sit in the coolness of the temple my metal casing cooled by the shaded darkness. The creeping insidious  flashes of pain  in my head are growing stronger. My mind is pierced by a raging heat, I raise my hand to my temple to soothe the pain,  but hurriedly lower it, the heat is too much. I realise this is to be ordeal by fire, this was not  explained at my briefing from the elders.  There is a tremor running through me, and I hear a  whistling noise. It’s me, I am keening. Fire, my nemesis. I visualise that portion of my  third transformation where the heat had cracked my shell and left me with life long pain. I need to run from this place, I will not endure the agony that I suffered.

I need a way of cooling the heat, dousing the flames. I am not ready.

I feel flames licking around my face, hot spirals of magma seeping from my eyes, my skin is melting. I will not be consumed by flames.

I remember the lotus pond in tne temple garden . I grab the table in front of me and lever myself to my feet, I cannot stand so I sink to my knees and crawl towards the exit. I reach the pool, gazing at the reflection of my grotesque firey face in the pond. My decisions now will alter my own future and the balance if power in the universe. Halting this transformation will send me back to being a frail mortal woman who will never again aspire to be a God. I teeter on the brink of the pond, have I the courage?

Then I plunge head first into the pool.

Relaxation

Crunchy granules sprinkled pure

Golden beach throws out the lure

Sparkling diamond peaks of light

Reflected nature, shimmery delight

Thoughts unwind, body relaxed

Watching the waves, glistening tracks

Crisp cool breeze whispers by

Seagulls, floating in the sky

Closing my eyes, imagining you here

Holding your hand, holding you dear

Lapping waves caress my feet

Sunbeams cascade, summers sweet

Toes wiggling in warm smooth sand

Feeling at one with this fair land.

Will love live or die?

I get glimpses of who you are

Makes me want, to return from afar

Your soul seems suffused in light

Like a moth to a flame, it seems so right
Your warmth and sweetness

Becomes my weakness

Drunk on the your nectar

Like a bee, I am a collector
The intenseness of our communication

Has made a scintillating  combination

The sound of your laugh, seems like fate

Arouses me,  a cicada calling  for a mate
An entomologist of feelings

Love-lust  unreeling

When captured in loves net

Will emotions grow and thrive yet?
Finding characteristics, of  my soul mate

Are we destined to flirt, spoon and separate?

Sparking colour like a fire fly

Will love live or die?
